Educators from the Albers Foundation have been working with students at Common Ground High School in New Haven to introduce weaving concepts. Beginning with simple card looms, students learned the basics and are applying them on a large scale during a community weaving workshop on Saturday, October 23, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in downtown New Haven. The event is part of Artspace New Haven's Open Source Festival.
Common Ground High School is a center for learning and leadership, inviting people across ages and identities to connect to their urban environment, build community, grow into their full potential, and contribute to a just and sustainable world.
